A BRIEF HISTORY
1958
Chem Lab Products is founded in Downey, CA, as a dry chlorine packaging company
1950S AND 1960S
Expansion of product line
1978
Acquisition of continuous bleach making operation, producing liquid chlorine and acid for swimming pools
1979
Acquisition of Pool Mates accessory company, and basic injection-molded plastic manufacturing
1983
Acquisition of blow molding machinery for plastic bottles, completing the company’s transformation into a fully integrated manufacturer
1980S AND 1990S
Addition of household bleach and automotive products
2011
Company is purchased by KIK Custom Products, an international manufacturing and distribution company with a reputation for service, safety and quality; continues operations with new name KIK Pool Additives Inc.
2013
Updated packaging and brand is launched, focusing on our easy 1-2-3 system for pool and spa care
